Where We Serve

Creating trauma-informed spaces for children and victims during times of crisis.

Most people do not realize that when a child is removed from their home and enters foster care, they do not always go straight to a foster home.

Sometimes they wait for hours inside a DSS office. Sometimes, when no placement is available, they spend the night there.

Children are not the only ones experiencing fear and uncertainty in these environments. Victims interacting with law enforcement agencies are often navigating some of the hardest moments of their lives in spaces that feel cold, sterile, and overwhelming.

Now imagine being scared, exhausted, and uncertain while sitting under fluorescent lights in a cold office after experiencing trauma or crisis.

That is the gap Lily Pad exists to fill.
