The Lily Pad Story
Every year, thousands of children in South Carolina experience foster care. Others arrive in government offices as victims of trauma, brought by law enforcement or protective services after deeply distressing events. Many spend their first hours in cold, impersonal spaces, waiting in fear and uncertainty. Lily Pad is changing that.
We create safe, trauma-informed rooms inside DSS offices, law enforcement centers, and other government buildings. These are spaces where children and youth can begin to heal. Our work also supports victims of trauma by offering environments that reflect dignity, care, and comfort during moments no child should have to face alone.
