Trauma Informed Spaces for Children Experiencing Foster Care

Children experiencing foster care should not spend one of the hardest days of their life in a cold, unfamiliar office.

Through strong community and government partnerships, as well as support from organizations committed to child welfare, adoption, and foster care, Lily Pad transforms cold impersonal offices into trauma informed spaces where children can feel safe, comforted, and cared for during difficult moments. Before a Lily Pad transformation, many child welfare offices are sterile and not designed with children in mind.

After transformation, they become calming spaces filled with warmth, comfort, and thoughtful care, designed specifically for them. Each Lily Pad is custom designed alongside local partners and child welfare professionals to meet the unique needs of the children and families they serve.
