No One Should Spend Their Worst Day in a Cubicle.
Children entering foster care and victims of trauma may wait hours—or nights—in institutional offices. Lily Pad brings comfort to these difficult moments.
Who we are: A Christian nonprofit ministry serving South Carolina and recently, Michigan.
What we do: Design, create, and maintain trauma-informed spaces in child welfare (DSS/DHHS) and law enforcement offices.
How we help: Comfortable furnishings, soft lighting, and sensory resources offer places to rest, play, and breathe.
Why we serve: Every person is made in God’s image and deserves dignity and care. Bibles and Scripture reflect the faith behind our mission.
Foster Care Awareness & Resources
Visit the Lily Pad table during Foster the Joy to experience our Traveling Lily Pad room, learn about foster care, and discover ways to help beyond the event.
Foster care: Temporary care when children cannot safely remain at home, with reunification as the goal whenever safely possible.
Adoption: A permanent, legal family relationship that offers some children in foster care a path to permanency.
It takes a community: Churches, relatives, friends, and neighbors can encourage and support fostering families.
Find your part: Bring a meal, run errands, donate supplies, or explore becoming an approved respite caregiver.
Approximately 3,500 children are in foster care across South Carolina. Children need safety, connection, and care, and fostering families need a supportive community.
