Trauma Informed Spaces for Victims and Families in Crisis

No child, victim, or family should face one of the hardest moments of their life in a cold, sterile office.

Through partnership with law enforcement agencies, victim advocates, and community supporters, Lily Pad transforms police departments, sheriff’s offices, and special victims units into trauma informed spaces where children, victims, and families can feel safe, comforted, and cared for during difficult moments. Before a Lily Pad transformation, many of these spaces are functional but not designed for people navigating trauma, grief, abuse, or crisis.

After transformation, they become calming environments filled with warmth, comfort, and thoughtful care. Soft seating, sensory friendly design, comforting details, and welcoming spaces help support victims, families, investigators, and victim advocates during emotionally difficult conversations and investigations.

Each Lily Pad is custom designed alongside law enforcement leadership, special victims units, and victim advocates to meet the unique needs of the individuals and families they serve. We design, fund, and install every room.
