Dillon County is located in the Pee Dee Region of northeastern South Carolina, bordering North Carolina and neighboring Marion County. The offices in Dillon and Marion are approximately 30 minutes apart, which allowed our team to complete both Lily Pad installations in the same weekend.
For the Dillon Lily Pad, we partnered with a local handyman company to complete the bulk of the installation work, ensuring quick and quality progress. Our Lily Pad team then traveled to Dillon to handle the finishing touches and photography.
Due to the poor condition of the carpet in the room, and with approval from building management, we were able to remove it and install new luxury vinyl plank flooring. It is a priority that flooring be clean and in good condition, since many children feel most comfortable playing, sitting or lying on the floor while they’re in the office.
The new Lily Pad includes a pull out sofa bed and washable rug to keep the space clean and kid-friendly. Kids can enjoy plenty of activities with books, coloring supplies, chalkboard activity wall, movies, and Nintendo Switch games. Sensory supports like weighted blankets, sensory toys, and a reclining glider provide calm and comfort. Scripture and encouraging words decorate the walls to offer hope and reassurance at a challenging moment in a child’s life.
